Keyboard Shortcuts
A reference of keyboard shortcuts in Roof Layout Studio. Shortcuts work while the editor canvas has focus — click the canvas once before using them if you've been typing in a text field.
INFO
Shortcuts with Ctrl, Cmd, or Alt modifiers are not intercepted by the editor — only plain single-letter keys. System-level shortcuts (like Ctrl+S for browser save) are not remapped.
Drawing and editing

The editor does not currently support Undo / Redo. Save the project regularly as a checkpoint — autosave also runs in the background.
Draw panel sub-modes
Pressing any of these keys activates the sub-mode and opens the Draw panel if it isn't already open.

Edge types (Edges panel)
Pressing any of these keys selects the corresponding edge type and opens the Edges panel if needed. Then click edges on the canvas to apply.

Facets panel
The Facets panel does not have a dedicated hotkey in the current version — open it by clicking the panel icon in the top-right area of the editor.
Canvas navigation

Project actions
Project actions (Save, Open, New, Generate report, Settings) are triggered from the top toolbar — there are no keyboard shortcuts for them in the current version.
Tips
- Shortcuts only fire while the canvas is focused — if nothing happens, click the canvas and try again.
- If a dialog is open, most shortcuts are disabled; close the dialog first.
- Some shortcuts can be customized in a future release — check Settings for updates.
